CREW - COMPLIANCE AND RISK EXECUTIVE WOMEN

ESTABLISHED IN SYDNEY IN 2010 AND MELBOURNE IN 2011, CREW HAS GROWN TO MORE THAN 1500 MEMBERS.

CREW is an informal networking forum for women in senior compliance, risk and governance related roles within the Australian financial services sector, founded by Penni James and now run by Sarah.

CREW holds online webinars every few months (with a special guest presenter) and hosts in person events in both Sydney and Melbourne to discuss current issues and topics, swap information and experiences, build networks and to have some fun. We keep each topic broad enough to ensure that everyone will benefit, regardless of specialisation. We also aim to have a balance between technical risk and compliance topics and the 'softer' skills that are so important for a successful career.

There is no charge to join CREW or attend a forum as we rely on the generosity of our corporate sponsors who host the forums. We frequently have more than 100 attendees at each Sydney forum and around 60 attendees at each event in Melbourne. Find out more here.

ASFA - NSW LEGISLATION DISCUSSION GROUP

Sarah is the Chair of the ASFA NSW Legislation Discussion Group which meets online each month and provides a forum where participants can openly raise, discuss and debate various trends and issues faced by the superannuation industry in the development and implementation of legislation.

Discussions encompass a variety of legislative developments including prudential regulation, corporate and financial services regulation, anti-money laundering, privacy, taxation, insolvency, and other regulatory policy developments impacting on superannuation, as well as the implications of significant recent case law.

Only ASFA members can attend Discussion Group meetings. To find out more about the NSW Legislation Group click here. To find out how to become an ASFA member see the membership section.

MAYFLOWER PDS ROUNDTABLES

Our Mayflower PDS Managers Roundtables started as a small group of PDS managers meeting to share ideas and challenges in the management of their PDS documents.

It has now grown to a group of over 50 members and we meet quarterly online, often with a special guest speaker followed by a lively group discussion.

Should you wish to join this group, please email Deb.
