SARAH PENN

Sarah Penn, Managing Director, Mayflower Consulting

Sarah founded Mayflower Consulting in 2014, to help super funds and investment managers succeed, with a focus on the intersection between customer experience, regtech and business strategy. Prior to this Sarah was a Division Director at Macquarie Bank, and held numerous roles across marketing, product and strategy. Sarah has a marketing and information management degree from the University of Western Australia, and is a known industry commentator with articles appearing in most major industry publications.

Sarah is Chair of the ASFA NSW Legislation Discussion Group, Managing Director of CREW (Compliance and Risk Executive Women) and Co-chair of the Technology and Innovations Expert Group for the Financial Services Council.

DEB BLOTT

Deborah Blott, Business Manager

Deborah (Deb) has an extensive background in Financial Management, Public Relations, Communications and Events, Marketing, Social Media, Human Resources and Administration.

She previously managed the public relations for high profile brands such as Champagne Bollinger, Grolsch, Teacher’s, Campari, Petaluma, Henschke and Brokenwood. As Business Manager for a boutique recruitment company she was responsible for their financial management, marketing, public relations and social media including organisation with their Advisory Board and submission of tenders. 

During her career she has completed additional training courses in public relations, marketing and finance including MYOB / Xero accounting and she is a Justice of the Peace. At Mayflower Consulting, Deb works closely with Sarah and manages the accounts, administration, marketing, social media and events, plus other business related responsibilities.


JENNY CALCOTT

Jenny Calcott, Operations Director

As the Operations Director for Mayflower Consulting, Jenny utilises her strong leadership, project management, process design and implementation skills to work closely with our clients and team to transform their PDS processes.

Jenny is a committed, action-oriented and results-driven professional with many years of experience in operations in some of Australia’s leading advertising, retail and design agencies.  She is detail orientated, pro-active and practical with great insight and enthusiasm. Jenny has a strong and fair leadership style with a natural flair for creating and developing teams and maintaining effective client relationships.

Jenny manages the operations of our entire PDS offering with ease and ensures the best outcomes for our clients. Her efficient and engaging style, passion, dedication plus her wonderful sense of humour are all a great asset to our business.   


Stuart Gordon

STUART GORDON

Stuart Gordon, Technical Lead

Stuart is communications professional who has developed versatile skills in design, communication and management across a range of industries.  In a varied career, he has worked as a Broadcast, Web and Print Designer, Copywriter and Project Manager. His employer and client list are similarly eclectic, including: Animal Logic, Foxtel, News Corp and The Department of Planning Industry and Environment.

Stuart’s a curious creative who is adept at leveraging design as a communication tool. He understands the interplay between aesthetics, copy and brand, and can synthesize these elements to create engaging content. He has honed his skills as a project manager working in a range of of high-pressure workplaces. In particular, his experience working in the news media environment refined his time-management skills and capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines.

Stuart has a Communications Degree from the University of Technology and has undertaken further study in design and post production. Throughout his multidisciplinary career has developed the hard and soft skills required for successful project delivery. He is comfortable solving technical problems while also ensuring the final product is on-message.


Katie Sparkes

Katie Sparkes, Senior Account Manager

Katie has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a particular passion for superannuation. Her most recent role was as a Senior Consultant at SuperRatings and prior to this she managed a team of data services associates at Rainmaker Group.

Katie has strong experience in data and research, developing key analysis and insights for organisations and the superannuation industry. She is highly skilled in problem solving and project management and enjoys working closely with clients to develop productive relationships, drive efficiency and find solutions, while leveraging technology and improving processes. She has experience in shepherding tenders and reviews to completion and is a trusted partner for key strategic work.

At Mayflower Consulting Katie is our Senior Account Manager based in Melbourne. She brings all these skills and a genuine interest in uplifting the financial services industry to her role and is committed to developing strong client relationships with a focus on problem solving and creative solutions.


ERIN WEAVER

Erin Weaver, Communications Associate

We welcome Erin to the role of Communications Associate where she works closely with Sarah on the communications strategy for our clients in the financial services space. Erin has qualifications in journalism, advertising and marketing and has undertaken extensive and ongoing coursework in professional communications including SEO, digital marketing and copywriting. She has experience in client relations, content writing, copywriting, social media, marketing, business development and events.

In her previous roles Erin has been instrumental in launching a new design agency in the UK, assisting to develop their brand, strategy and presence in the industry. She has also created a customer management role within a highly-regarded hospitality business here in Sydney where she managed a busy call centre, designed an online reservation process and created marketing and promotional materials.

Erin enjoys developing creative communications solutions and streamlining operations, and has skills in designing systemised and automated processes. She is endlessly curious with a love of researching and is committed to excellence in all that she does.


VICTORIA HUGH

Victoria Hugh, Senior Consultant

Victoria has joined the Mayflower team as our Senior Consultant specialising in working with our clients on their projects and product development. She is an experienced Product Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the investments and management consulting industries in her previous roles at Mercer Investments, BT Financial Group, Macquarie Bank and Bearing Point (formerly KPMG Consulting).

With a range of skills across Investments, IT Strategy, Business Transformation, Project Management and Business Process Improvement, Victoria brings an experienced and analytical approach to her role. She has a strong project management capability with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) (Chemical) from the University of Sydney.

Victoria has worked for more than 25 years in financial services and is highly skilled in product development, solutions and project management. She enjoys working with clients on strategic solutions and we welcome Victoria to the Mayflower team based in our Sydney office.


JACK WITHINGTON

Jack Withington, Keystone Specialist

We welcome Jack to Mayflower Consulting in the role of Keystone Specialist. Jack is a a results-driven and innovative Product Management Specialist with a proven track record of developing and launching successful products. He is passionate about Objective Keystone (as we all are at Mayflower!). 

Jack has strong skills in process improvements, market insights and technology trends, with a customer-centric approach to drive product excellence. He is a strategic thinker and is well-prepared to lead product teams and deliver exceptional value to our clients. Jack previously worked at Mercer where he managed disclosure documents through Objective Keystone and implemented enhancements for existing products.

With his leadership capabilities, innovation and knowledge, Jack will be an integral part of our team based in our Melbourne office.
